Attractive and lively village hostelry. The interior features a single large L-shaped room, where the low beamed ceiling in the older part contrasts with a high ceiling, with exposed rafters, in the airy, more recently modified section. Traditional home-cooked pub food is served. Breakfasts are served from 10am on Saturdays. The Trent & Mersey Canal runs along edge of village, about 300m away. The National Memorial Arboretum is a couple of miles to the east.
