The leasing of the White Hart by the local group Darwin Inns from Admiral Taverns in September 2011, has provided an interesting change of management. It's a Grade II Listed building of the early Jacobean period, with a wealth of exposed timber, but with some later alterations. The two roomed inside layout consists of a public bar and a lounge. Was once owned by the Border Brewery of Wrexham. The marina on the Llangollen Canal is further down Birch Road, so the pub is popular with boaters. New management February 2022. Has two ciders on handpump and two bag in the box. These are likely to be from Lilleys and Westons which are not "real" as defined by CAMRA. Food is not served, but customers are welcome to bring their own. The guest beer range comes from far and wide and often includes beers not usually seen locally. There is a total of six handpumps, some of which are of considerable age, but they may not all be in use at once.
